i was put on prozac to counter act the withdrawal symptoms of coming off of paxil.that was a year ago. i want to come off of the prozac. should i worry about withdrawal symptoms??????please help

However, I didn't really have any side effects on it at all so I'm not sure if my reaction is typical. Relax, for most I dont believe Prozac is as bad SOE 03-15-2005, 11:56 AM Prozac is pretty easy to come off of because it has such a long half life. But you should still taper -- don't stop cold turkey. brett24 03-15-2005, 04:05 PM well i came off them cold turkey and as sickofeffexor said DONT do this, taper off them slowly, i felt like crap when i did this, not as bad as other people do when they come off different meds, but enough to make me wish i hadnt stopped taking them, this lasted for about 2 weeks. im back on them now , but dont worry too much if u taper off them u should be fine :) Good luck and take care Brett |
