Yes. I have inflammation in the small intestine. Often, the first thing I notice is lower back pain. It can even start if I've drunk one cup of coffee too many, or drunk beer. I notice the dull ache in my back before the bowel problems show themselves. A freind of mine has UC, and she had back pains for years before the UC developed fully. She was told that this was quite common.

My lower back had been hurting so bad for the past year and a half! So bad that I could hardly do anything. Then this past 2nd week of Feb. I got sick and had to go in the hospital. Found out I got chron's disease and ulceritive colitis. Not fun at all. In the hospital for 11 days. My back doesn't hurt anymore, but all this other stuff going on isn't fun either.
