Just wanted to say that I have been reading responses and stories on this board for a few years now. Never posted... but wanted to let everyone know who does post, that there are people like myself who get some peace of mind from reading these messages. So thanks to all of you truly...
Anyways, I had to join this message board and post this time because i have searched for a similar experience to mine and just have not found it...surprisingly!

My story started in Thailand...which of course I might add 1 out of 100 are infected... according to statisitcs anyways. I went with my cousin for two months and just got back. I met a girl there and we hit it off quite well. She spent two weeks with me in fact....quite romantic actually because we like each other alot and have kept in touch. HOWEVER,, Unfortunatley twice while we had sex the condom broke. Like others here I am terrified of this disease too and fear getting tested.
As soon as I felt it break both times I pulled out right away. Also, I took pee right after which I hear can possibly prevent STD's??? who knows... Also I washed off with some water from the sink.
I know I need to get tested to make sure... but....yes... like most of us...a bit reluctant. Anyways, just wanted to see if any one else has had this experience of the condom breaking and the pulling out right away.
wondering what the chances are...just trying to get some peace of mind before I take that plunge into the lab. I know they is always a risk but this one has me puzzled.
Oh Ya! No we never talked about it with each other...about if she knows her status (Negative or Positive). She has told me she has not been with many guys....but sometimes i think people just tell you want you want to hear...

Men have a lower chance of catching HIV then women do. Assuming you're negative of other STD's, this lowers your chance even more greatley...So lets say worse case scenario, shes pos. IT would still be very unlikely that you contracted HIV from a few seconds of condom breakage. In any case, you know what to do, and you know were all here for ya...GL

Yes, although don't misinterpret "more difficult" as "impossible". The entire lining of the vagina is one of the mucous membranes. The opening of a man's penis (urethra) is another mucous membrane. Just looking at the size difference of these two mucous membranes should give you a better idea as to why transmission is easier from man to woman during unprotected vaginal sex than the other way around.
