I am not a doctor, but I would advise you to see one as soon as possible. You may have a virus, which is very common, but you are also describing some classic symptoms of some of the Lymphomas....which by the way, many have a VERY VERY high, excellent cure rate!

Insist on a full blood test, chest x-ray, scans of the lump(CT or MRI), and prob a biopsy. Then you will know for sure and will be able to move forward...and not live in fear of the unknown.

You are in our thoughts and prayers..as are all of the persons on this site.

I totally agree. Itching, night sweats, weight loss and enlarged lymph nodes are signs of lymphoma and should b checked out. We dont mean to scare u but if something is wrong its always better 2 find out early than 2 wait. It might b nothing but u will never know unless u check it out.

Just going to the doc they are not going to find anything out on a first visit, just get you started as soon as possible on a series of tests. So even if kids are there, I don't think it would be frightening for them.

It is not just the night sweats, but also the weight loss, and other symptoms that you mentioned. It really is better to get it checked as soon as poss so that you will be on the right track.

Best of Luck

If you dont want ur kids 2 know anything tell the doctor not to leave a detailed message on ur answering machine if he does any tests. Kids r usually oblivious 2 whats going on unless u bring it 2 their attention.
