Hi, Last Wed I started getting flu-like symptoms; body ache, fatigue, swollen nodes, headache, pain behind eyes, and some diahrea. My head almost feels like I was drunk the night before, and still feels that way. I had a fever Thursday evening and woke up with a sweat about 4:00AM, since then no recurrence of fever or night sweats. I have one swollen node that is more noticeable than others on my neck (left side). Its a little tender, but not overly painful. I have no significant weight loss either.
It is now monday, I am still a little fatigued, but not as bad as last Wednesday. My head still aches a bit and is kind of foggy. behind my eyes is sore as well. Is this ringing any bells, or am I more likely to have a virul infection, maybe mono? Thanks for you opinions.
I am not a doc, but it does kinda sound like you have a virus or something. You can always go and get a doc to check you out, or you can wait to see if the nodes and other symptoms lessen in time.
Worrisome lumps are usually, but not always, in ome particular area, firm and/or hard, fixed and not mobile, and non-tender to the touch, and do not get smaller.

My symptoms are somewhat similar to yours. I started to feel sick at the beginning of May and I am just now starting to feel better. I still have good days and bad though. I had flu like symtoms and extreme fatigue..couldn't get off the couch and everything going on around me was like a blur. I couldn't seem to snap out of it and I ached, kept feeling hot but wasn't sweating, had a swollen node in my neck, pins and needles in my hands and feet, no appetite, ringing in my ears, almost constant feeling of getting ready to pass out but never did. Needless to say I felt horrible. I have been to the doctor 4 times now and they told me after doing lots of blood work that I have the Epstein Barr virus. It sounds like you have a virus of some kind too..doesn't sound like anything serious but if it is worrying you then maybe you should go to the doctor just get checked out. I kept going until they finally did all the blood work that I wish they would have done almost 3 months ago. Even though I can't do anything about the virus at least I would have had peace of mind knowing what was wrong with me.
Good luck and keep us posted! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
