Hi,
I don't think I have ever posted on this board before, but I have posted everwhere else, trying to find out what the heck is wrong with me.
For well over a year I have not felt well, fatigued, body aches, bladder issues,.....blahblahblah...anyway......d oc has tested me for everything.
We have found MVP,TMJ,IBS and possible fibromyalgia. To tell you the truth I don't know what else.(I forget ALOT)Blood tests only show high sed rate and low alpha-1.
Doc tested me for thyroid, lupus, menapause, diabetes......all normal. Also I'm on an anti-immflammatory and a stomache med.
Now the reason I'm here......I have had my period for 4wks now!!!!
I'm 39...My period had been normal for 29 years...always on time...3-4 days, but I will admit they have been "different" the last few months and really clotty.I had my regular period, then stopped one day, had sex, started to bleed(real dark)light for a week...got yeast infection(I think) took 3 day treatment(only have had 3 yeast infections in my life)started to bleed heavy( with lots of clots, kinda of watery)....stopped bleeding for a day, had sex( sorry have to make hubby happy)now I'm bleeding AGAIN.(I'm sorry for being so graghic)
I thought, maybe, perimenapause.....but doc did some test and it was a no.....I have been checking out my symptoms on the net( not always a good idea)Now I'm worried it could be ovarian cancer.
Should I call my doctor?
TIA, kelly

Well you have such a variety of symptoms but the bleeding is most concerning. I wouldn't freak out right away about ovarian cancer. Could be fibroids, could be some sort of uterine inflammation...you should ask your doc to send you for a pelvic ultrasound. I think you should simply ask for more a more specific gynecological workup.
