i have swollen nodes, largest one only 7mm. i get fevers everyday, and feel like total pooh. i was a very active person, i raced in triathlons. now i am so fatigued, going up our stairs kills me. i have swollen nodes in my carodid (spelled wrong)spaces, and pelvis. the surgeon does not want to do a biop, too dangerous. i am not loosing any weight, buy my right eye is "puffing out", and my contact does not fit anymore. this started 2 wks ago. went to eye doc. my eye is swollen, but doesn't know why. the nodes in neck are on right side also. i have night and day sweats, and head and body aches. don't know what to do now, oh one more thing. my neck is sore, like a pulled muscle, so took some muscle relaxers, they don't fix the "feeling" of fullness. what should i do? talk to another doc or what. thank you so much. triathlete118

I would DEFFANITLY get a second opinion!

I don’t mean to scare you and I am not a doc. By any means, however you are describing some very typical signs of lymphoma.

I have swollen glands and a sore neck all the time. And I will be getting my largest lymph node removed and will have a biopsy tomorrow.

I had to go to three different doctors before one decided that it was time to take them out and see what is going on.

If it where me I would go to another doctor ASAP!

Good luck, and let us know what you learn. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hey..just curious has your doc tested you for Lyme Disease. I never knew a tick had ever touched my body and I dont leave concrete too often....but I was positive and I have some of the very same symptoms. The first doc told me just a virus too. Keep pushing and ask for an Elisa test to determine for sure.

Good luck to you

http://www.nci.nih.gov/cancerinfo/wyntk/non-hodgkins-lymphoma#22 (http://www.nci.nih.gov/cancerinfo/wyntk/non-hodgkins-lymphoma)

Symptoms
The most common symptom of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is a painless swelling of the lymph nodes in the neck, underarm, or groin.

Other symptoms may include the following:

Unexplained fever

Night sweats

Constant fatigue

Unexplained weight loss

Itchy skin

Reddened patches on the skin

When symptoms like these occur, they are not sure signs of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. They may also be caused by other, less serious conditions, such as the flu or other infections. Only a doctor can make a diagnosis. When symptoms are present, it is important to see a doctor so that any illness can be diagnosed and treated as early as possible. Do not wait to feel pain; early non-Hodgkin's lymphoma may not cause pain.
