View Full Version : So glad to know I'm not alone

Hi all,

I posted to another thread earlier about what symptoms we suffer every day and I noticed a few people mentioned being cold all time. This made me think about when I was working and how miserable I was. They tried to accomodate me by closing the vent over my desk that was blowing cold air on me (the A/C was on almost year-round), but I was still freezing. I think they just thought I was being difficult at that point, but I seriously had to wear winter clothes and sometimes a coat indoors even in the summer because I was so cold in that office.

To top it all off, me being cold and miserable and feeling like I wasn't being taken seriously only exacerbated my fibro symptoms, but at least now I know I wasn't alone in my frustrations. Many of you have written about being lablelled as a hypochondriac and that the pain is "all in your head" and it's so comforting to know I'm not the only one.

I've finally found a doctor who seems to understand me and is willing to help, so I have that to be thankful for. And I'm thankful for this message board and all you nice folks who have given me comfort. :D

Welcome,
I had been cold for years, I can relate to all that you say...even at work. I, at times run a heater behind my seat so there was warm heat blowing against my back.

It's great to have you aboard,
uvmom

I had the exact same situation at my job. It is nice to know that I'm not the only one! Donna
