Hi there,
Ive just joined up to get some advice on hair removal, you guys seem like a bunch of friendly folk.
Basically i have a rapid re-growing bikini line and im fed up with shaving (which usually leads to irritation) and ive never tried anything but shaving.
I get paid in a few days so i'm planning to make my wages worth my while for once, and splash out on something that works.
I really need permanent hair removal but will settle for the next best thing. So...what do you recommend? :)

I know exactly how you feel and ingrowns are such a nuisance. A few years ago i wasted a lot of time and money on laser and that didn't work for me and i've come across more people in my everyday life who it hasn't worked for either, but who knows, you could be one of the lucky ones as some people have had results.
I then went on to have electrolysis. It worked fantastic on my bikini line and now i'm getting her to go past the bikini line and inwards as much as possible. Kind of like a semi/half a brazillian i suppose you could call it.
It's important to get the hairs zapped when they are in the growing stage (when the hair comes out there is that little ball at the bottom of the hair). Most of mine were in this stage and after she zapped them once, hardly any grew back and that was early this year. I've had round two and it's looking even better.
Apparently bikini line, leg and underarm hair go the fastest. Facial hair always takes that bit longer.
Let us know what decision you make and what type of success you end up having.

Ok, well thanks :) i don't suppose you know if home electrolysis kits are any good? Ive seen a few but their quite pricey so i need to be sure. Thanks.

I don't know what home electrolysis kits are like these days, but i stupidy bought one close to 15 years ago and it was rubbish. Then i was even stupider to buy another one some years later and that was rubbish too. Personally i dont think the electric current was strong enough to do much.
Getting it done by a professional was so much easier. Sure it hurt a tiny bit, but depends what type of pain threshold you have too and it depends on which part of your body you are having done as some areas dont hurt at all and it also depends on how high the setting is on the electrolysis equipment. The higher the current the more you might feel it, but then again, if the current is way, way too low, then it's not going to be as efficient. It also hurts more if you are having it done just prior/during your period. If you get it done whilst the hair is in the regrowth stage, you wont have to get it done as many times, which makes it more efficient, costs less and hair disappears faster.
