Can any of you explain why about two weeks into my cycle I start having sweat beads on my nose and also chest pains? Is this a lack of estrogen, progesterone and/or both?
I was taking natural progesterone but saliva levels were high. I have stopped for a while, although ND said to reduce the about of progesterone. Should I start it again to see if the sweat goes away and the chest pains?
My hairdresser just noticed that I have a bald spot on my head too. Alopacea? Is that estrogen or progesterone, or something else causing that too?
I also get sooooo irritated when I am ovulating. Exactly 10 days into my cycle I become a totally different person, until after my period. I have about one good week a month.
HELP!! :D

If this is the first time you are experiencing chest pains WITH sweating, I would see your doctor to rule out heart disease. The odds are it is NOT, but after watching Oprah, I will never poo-poo HD in women, regardless of age!

Hi Miller,
You could just be experiencing a mild case of hot flashes, esp. if you comes on during cycle and not any other time. Mine started with the sweaty nose beads also. You have to see if there's a pattern going on. Also, you should play it safe and have things checked out.
As with the bald spots, it is Alopecia. When I turned 50, everything happened to me incl. having two big bald spots which came on suddenly and my hairdresser also told me about them too. I had it once in the early 80's also. I went to a dermotologist and had several sessions of steriod injections on my spots and my hair grew back. He said it people just get this often b/c its hereditary and not stress. Suggest you see a dermo dr. soon.
Did a search and it says: The exact cause of alopecia areata is unknown but it is often said to be an auto-immune condition. This means that the body's immune system acts as if the hair follicles or hair are "foreign tissue" and must be eliminated from the body. White blood cells attack certain hair follicles and cause hair growth to stop. Typically only the hair and follicles are affected, and there are no other symptoms.
