Well, I've been posting in this forum for about a year now. Some of you know of my neck surgery last year(Nov,2002) to remove 3 lymph nodes that were benign. Well, just when I thought all was fine today I'm doing my hair and I feel a pretty large lump on the same side of my surgery. It's totally painless and very close to my old scar. I then panicked and felt around for more and I noticed one on my left side that is a bit smaller and then one the size of a pea on my collarbone. I have one in my cheek that the doc is keeping an eye on for now. DO you think I'm being paranoid or am I justified in freaking out?? I feel like I was misdiagnosed or something.

If it worries you alot, I suggest you get another biopsy done. The best thing to do is to have your MD take a look at it. Swelling of the lymphnode can be caused by so many minor and major things, it's really hard to tell if it will be serious or not..
The thing about lymphnodes is that if you look for it, you'll find it. In my opinion , as long as it's not gradually growing - it should be nothing serious.

Pea size lymphnodes are nothing to really get worried about.. My node on my above my collarbone is huge..I don't know why... =(
