Well about 2 weeks ago i found a quarter size lump on my collar bone,it wasnt painfull at first, but now it has enlarged to a size a little bigger than a golf ball.It is extremlly painfull and very hard just like a golf ball, Sensitive to the touch and now is slightly becoming bruised around the outer part of lump,i started to take antibiotics in hopes maybe it will go down.Still no luck.Anyone ever have this? If so what was the outcome and should i be extremly worried? thank you very much, stef http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

I dont want to scare you , but you should see your primary MD right away --There are a few things it could be that are harmeless, but one thing it could be is Hodgkins disease and I assuming since you asked the question on this board then you know that already. I had the exact same symptoms approx 6 years ago--they found stage 2A hodgkins --alittle chemo and a little radiation thereapy and I was back to normal! keep you head up and wish for the bestl BUT PLEASE go to the DRs'

you are doing the right thing seeing your doctor, i had lymphoma which i am now clear of, but it did start with a lump by my collar bone, but saying that lymphoma is not usually painful, i might be late posting this and you already have your answer, but best of luck anyway

All i can suggest is you should go to the doc, there are different types of lymphoma but i really dont think you should leave it if it was lymphoma, i think you could guess the worst case scenario, but i had it and its now gone and i had the highest dose chemo with stem cell transplant and it was ok for me, hope u get it sorted
