Hello everyone! I am new to the allergy board, but frequently visit the inner ear disorder board. I have been feeling bad on and off for 6 months now, and every Dr. I go to, looks at me like i'm crazy. My symptoms are, fullness in ears, lightheaded at times, and a feeling like i'm in a fog............hard to explain that one. My family Dr. says I "MAY" have an allergy, but I have no other symptoms of allergies.........(sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes....etc), so can you have an allergy and not have those symptoms?? Thanks for any info. Deena

YES! lol...my ears are like *always* stufffy and stuff lol...then every now and then my eyes will be *super* itchy...lol but mostly it's just sneezing/congestion, which is the worst part...drives me nuts.

Well, I actually read your post before I responded. And yes it is possible to have allergy symptoms of Lightheadness without Sneezy, Itchy symptoms. Molds typically do this sort of thing.

Hmmm...interesting...mold was the only thing that really showed up on my skin test, but I dunno how much fait I put in the test...beacuse it seems my eyes get pretty intchy if I'm around dogs or whatnot...so I'm not sure yet. :P

stuffy ears and fog sound a whole lot like inner ear with allergy component. Have you booked an appointment with a neuro-otologist to rule out Eustachian Tube Dysfunction etc. I have read alot of previous posts from people who lacked "classic" allergy symptoms but had the whole ear thing/fog going on. Try anti histamines and decongestants (if you haven't already) and especially look into some of the older over the counter antihistames. They seem to work for some people.

Thank you everyone for your information. I am on a blood pressure pill now, so I'm scared to take anything with a decongestant.....I called my pharmasict and he said to try Coricidian HBP, even though I don't have the runny nose, sneezing, cough...etc, i'm gonna try it cause it has a antihistamine in it. Hopefully this will work, cause I'm tired of not feeling normal. I'm ready for the "foggy head" feeling to go away. Thanks again everyone..........hope you're having a good day!!! :)

If that does not work, Try the over the counter Med - Chorotrimeton. It has worked for myself for about 6 years and lots of other folks on this forum. It probably won't be recommended by a doctor as it is cheap, available in generic form and thus provides no free trips to Hawaii or large commissions for drug sales reps. I spend 5 cents a pill for it in generic form.
