I'm losing my mind with worry.. my husband had a lump just pop up over night on the left side of his neck,,it was about the size of a quarter, not painful and moved when touched. He saw the family doctor who said it was probably nothing, some kind of infection and if it doesn't go down after 3-4 weeks he should have another doc look at it. He also treated him for excema.
well the lump has gone down you can barely feel it, but is still there. He is seeing a ENT on monday.
The steroid cream the doctor prescribed for his excema didn't work very well. I got him a OTC for it and it seems to be working very well.. What has me completely freaking out, is I just found out that itching is a symptom of hodgkins!! He doesn't have severe itching it's very mild.. Does itching and lumps always mean you have cancer??? I think I'm going to have a nervous breakdown before monday comes. Has anyone had these symptoms together and not had cancer?? Please help....

Itching and lumps don't always mean cancer.
There are so many symptoms to so many different diseases/conditions that it is really hard to know what exactly may be wrong with your husband.
There are cases when you get a swollen lymphnode, it goes down but not all the way. Since it went down that's a good sign. Some people have swollen lymphnodes all their life and still not have cancer.

Also, itching related to Hodgkins' is much more severe.

I'm sure everything is fine.
Try not to stress about it too much, you're only going to make "yourself" sick.

Alot of people find lumps and etc, and once some research is done on the internet - everyone starts assuming it is cancer. Most of the time,.. it's not..
Indeed there are sometimes that it is.

Like I said, there are so many things that can cause swollen lymphnodes. So until the doctor runs more tests on him and finds the answer. Relax.=)

(I have swollen lymphnodes all over my body. It's been 3 years so far..I still don't know what's wrong..)
