I thought I saw someone mention using garlic or virgin olive oil on their outbreaks on here. I use to use tea tree oil, except I'm not sure that's safe to use on my vagina while pregnant. Anyone heard anything about garlic or oil and if it'd be okay to try while pg.

Garlic is very safe during pregnancy; it's actually helpful. The way I make the garlic oil is to peel and cut one or two garlic cloves (one section of the head you buy at the produce section of the grocery) into quarters. You don't need small pieces. Put the pieces into a very small container with a tight-fitting lid. Pour extra-virgin oilive oil over to cover, put on the lid, and let sit for about 2 hours. After that, you can apply it as much as you want for relief. I don't refrigerate mine, just keep it on the bathroom sink with some q-tips nearby. After the sore is gone, I toss it.

You can eat lots of garlic, too, if you can stand it while pregnant. That helps keep ob's away, and helps heal them.

Happy pregnancy!
