View Full Version : If you chemically treat your hair...

either coloring, perming or relaxing and so on, be careful about clarifying shampoos. The only one I know of for sure that can actually strip the chemicals out is the Paul Mitchell Green Tea Clarify shampoo and conditioner. I used it even though my hair was colored and sure enough, some came out (didn't mind though, wanted some of it gone, so done on purpose). My mom didn't know this and she was using it on her permed hair and when I warned her about it she realized that was why her perm had relaxed so fast. So, if you want to clarify, check with a salon professional to see which ones are safe to use!

Pureology makes " Purify Shampoo" which is made for color treated hair. It is an excellent product that does not strip you hair and really cleanses it of all other products and build up . I have been using it for a while and my hair is overly processed. It is a good product.

Biolage makes a really good Color Care Shampoo and Conditioning Balm that I use, and it works wonderfully. Also, Im not sure what color everyones hair is here, but one of the best for blondes is Dumb Blonde (lol at the name) it is made by BedHead and it works great as well. I usually alternate between the Biolage and Dumb Blone because it seems like my hair "gets tired" of the same shampoo if I use it every day.
