Hi everyone!

Ambien is starting to "not" work so well.... I have been taking it for 4 years and it is the only thing that works to date. Believe me, I've been given so many different sleep aids. Does anyone know about the new one that is out? It is suppose to be non-addictive and few side effects. Speaking of which....it's 1:39am and I still cannot fall asleep....errrrr.

Hugs to you all! Annie

Hey Annie,
LTNS! I'm not sure but did you tell me once that you have already tried Klonopin? That's what I have been using since I was dx'd in '02 and it really works for me. I started at 1/2mg and am up to 1mg now. It doesn't take much. It is originally for RLS and it is an antianxiety med, but it really helps me. What is this new med you are talking about? I haven't heard of it, I don't think.

I hope you are doing well and your spirit is strong.

Wishn, how many mg do you take of ambien? I had that problem and i was upt to 15mg and that helped then later i was able to go back down to 10mg and added flexiril 10mg, and so far that has helped. I haven't heard of a new one yet. If you find out the name of it let us know..... :bouncing:

The new med for sleep is Lunesta. It is made by Sepacor. The approval was in December 2004, now they are getting their DEA number. As soon as that happens, it will be for sale. I am anxiously awaiting it. I sleepwalk like a zombie on Ambein and can't take it for that reason. I buy all kinds of JUNK off the internet etc....ugh.
Anyway, WalGreens has it listed and priced now, but not in stock. I already have a script written by my doc and it is sitting there at WG's waiting!! Everyone pray!

Hey Jeremy,

I read your post about your video, and I'll betchya you aren't getting good restorative sleep. Do you feel refreshed when you wake, or still tired? You could be one of the lucky ones who has the disturbed sleep pattern but accomadates to it.

Nice to "see" you again Jeremy. I hope you are feeling good. How's the PT going?

Wishn (Annie)

I also have taken Ambien for about 4 years now and like you it doesn't work very well. Did you have a sleep study done? I went to the sleep clinic years ago because I was worried about getting hooked on the Ambien and I wanted them to see if they could tell me why I couldn't sleep "at all"!!! I thought they would keep me in over night and do a study but instead two doctors talked to me and asked me how the ambien worked. At that time it worked great and I woke up refreshed (only after falling asleep being completely stoned on the ambien). They told me if it worked for me then why go off of it, that I could take it for the rest of my life!!! That really didn't make sense but I went a long with it. Now it takes hours sometimes to work. Just thought I would vent, I can't really help you with your problem because I have the exact same one. The new one that is out, I wonder if our doctors would just switch us to that one since we have been on the ambien for so long.
Take care

You know Jeremy, I think a lot of these conditions, whether they be FM, CFS or what you have (sorry, I ain't attempting to spell all that!) run in the family. My son has FM, which makes me feel bad that all the things he get's from me, he get's this! I would rather he have inhertied a "good" quality! LOL

P.S. Jeremy I saw a post where you mentioned a bracelet you can get for FM Awareness day, it's a pin. You can look on ebay. It's purple and looks like the breast cancer awareness pin and the yellow ribbon pins everyone is wearing for the troops. Just incase you want to check it out. :)

good to here from you dear,
tk
