I am a 68 year old male. About a year ago I had a PSA test that was 4.6 I was checked by a Urologist and seemed to be OK. I recently had a new test and it rose to 6.0.......Does that mean that I am a high risk for prostate cancer?

You better get a biopsy. I am 49 and had a 4.6 psa. My biopsy showed 50% of my prostate with cancer. I had surgery in October. Feeling pretty good now.
I am 62yrs old was diagnosed with prostate cancer on April10,2002 and I have a PSA of 6.0 You should talk with your Doctor about having a biopsy. If you don't have a biopsy, you probably should have a PSA done every 6mo's.

A biosy is certainly called for and I'd get a different Doctor. A Doctor that allows you to have a PSA of 6.0 without additional testing does not have very much experience!!!

My PSA was 72 when I did my first treatment and now it down to 1.7. With a Gleson of 7 (4+3), there is no cure but I am using Transfer Factor and my cancer is reacting to it very positively. Remember cancer is in the whole body and you must change your life style of eating to fight it.
My treatment was 17 radiations and stopping then hormonal treatment for 13 months and now on Transfer Factor and Vitamins.
