Hello everyone i need your help i am trying to think of a med name for my doctor but can not remember it. There is a commercial for it It starts with "A" and it is to help with fatigue and energy. If anyone knows please post it. Also what else does everyone take to help with the fatigue.

I dont think there are any meds that help with fatugue, beware of expensive food supliments with extravagent claims, these only have a placebo effect that doesnt last long

It wont work for CFIDS patient, becuase our CFIDS causes immune reaciton to certain infection... Ambien is only for mild fatigue...

See CFIDS or CFS are cause by T2 immune system active and T1 are down...In normal person T1 are active and T2 are low..

Thats why many people with CFIDS do not get the average cold flu. Becuase T2 does not recognize the virus, it likes to recognize air born , allergies, yeast etc..

T1 likes to see virus etc...

Thats why with CFIDS you get more sysmptomes and are tired all day long with flu like symptomes.... Also with CFIDS your body becomes more allergic to everything.

Has anyone tried Provigil? My doc says his CFS patients haven't had much luck with it...I was going to try it but he wanted me to hold off until further testing was performed. Well, the testing was completed a few months ago and nothing significant was found, but we never did get around to discussing Provigil again.

Hi Queserasera! Nice name!

I asked my doc about Provigil cuz I heard about it on here, and it seems to help a bit. I don't feel as though I need to take so many naps during the day.

Que? May I ask what tests you were having done, and which of your doc ran them?

Just wondering, I am trying to get my doc to run some very extensive tests for me. I am especially concerned about getting these test done because I will be having back surgery soon.

Do you mean that supplement called Altovis?

Are you thinking of Altovis?
It is non-Rx and the primary ingredient is caffiene. It can be ordered off the 'net.

Watch out for those commercial "meds" which aren't really meds, they are a compilation of amino acids, supplements, vitamins and herbs. I ordered the one for sex drive (Libido) called Avlimil. I took it for over 6 months and felt no difference. The package says to take it for at least a year to feel the full effect. I was like: huh??? I paid somewhere between 25-30 dollars a month and cancelled it cuz I felt like I was wasting my money. I have seen the commercial for Altovis and there's another one out there for something else I've seen. They all come from the same company. Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals which owns Warner Health Care, Inc. But hey, give it a try, it may work. I'm all for taking something "natural" before resulting to scripts.

I use Provigil for mental clarity and fatigue, and it seems to help a good bit. I still need a nap during the day, but just one instead of 4! :)


So, if you decide to go for it, let us know if it helps you. Could be good for some folks. I know the Avilmil didn't work for me, and I really didn't hear of anyone that it did help, at least anyone who posts here. And my psychiatrist said that none of his patients who tried it said it worked either. Maybe where libido is concerned we simply need hormones, since loss of libido is dealing with major hormones. The Altovis may be something different and it may work.
