Hi everyone,
over the last week I have started developing some strange symptoms and I can't put my finger on it. Before I run to my doctor, maybe someone in here can relate to, or have some info regarding these. I'm a 45 year old male, and I'm normal weight. I have borderline hi blood pressure, averaging about 135/90, and am not taking anything for it.

Over the last week I started getting bouts of hot flashes where my face would also get red, and this is happening many times a day and night, and everytime I start eating a meal, it comes on, and stays for a while. I also have this constant sore skin feeling in my hands and arms, as if I was playing tug-o-war with a rope for a couple of hours. Sometimes my fingers are a little tingly, but overall, when I slightly clench my fingers, it feels like they are a little swollen and sore, but they don't look swollen. Skin feels like when you take a bunch of niacin, but I never take any.

I also have a low body temp, runs between 96.5 and 97.5, but that has been going on for a few years.

I can't seem to get a handle on what is happening, and last night out eating with friends, one of them said "your face is all red, were you out in the sun today?. But I wasn't, it just comes on all the time now. Could this be some kind of anxiety disorder? Or something else?

Hope someone can help...

A red face could be from the "sympathetic nervous systgem" and/or anxiety.

Your thyroid may be a problem, would be wise to get it checked out.

Hands feeling that way after tug of war with rope is normal.

Thanks for your reply, but I didn't say I actually played tug-o-war, my hands just FEEL like I did, as I described..
