I'm nearly 18 For the last few months my system has been crazy. My last two periods have been very light but I have taken two pregnancy test so that is out. I've been very sick at night throwing up. If I eat anything more than a slice of turkey I throw it right up. My tempature is usually around 90 to 93 or 94 but today it went all the way to 97.3 Sleeping is almost impossible for me at this point and when I do sleep all I have are nightmares.

Chances are this is just stress. I just got out of an abusive relationship. But it's nearly a month. Usually I recover from bad relationships rather quickly.

My doctors don't really see anything wrong with me and they are telling me the sickness is just mental. I'm not sure what to think about it at this point.

Any of the symptoms you describe could possibly be due to stress. However, it could be physical problems too. Have you been checked for a stomach ulcer? Do you have an eating disorder? Are you underweight? Having nightmares every night suggest to me there may be serious mental anguish going on. Perhaps a therapist could help you. You're too young to feel so bad! If your doctor isn't sympathetic to your feelings, get a second opinion, but you need to get to the bottom of this. Good luck and feel better!

I was in the hospital two years ago for a stomach ulcer. And yes I'm under weight. I only weigh 92 pounds and i'm only 4'11. I saw a therapist for a year a few a ago after I was raped. My mom thinks it's years of trouble and abuse finally effecting me fully.

You're so young and you have a lot of life ahead of you to enjoy. Please go back to your doctor and see if he/she thinks more therapy would be of benefit to you. You could be suffering from PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). You shouldn't have to be so miserable--there's plenty of help out there for you. I wish all the best to you!
