What are some of the signs of prostate cancer? Lately, I have had pain (in that area) where my prostate would be. The area just below my testicles seems to be a little swollen...now maybe I'm wrong but it seems to be. Sometimes my testicles hurt, usually my left one. This is really embarrassing but sometimes when I ejaculate, I feel this pain in the area where my prostate would be and in the area just below my testicles. I'm 14 years old (don't ask, yes I'm 14 and my hormones are raging) and could this be prostate or some kind of bowel cancer? Or could it even be just some growing pain? That might sound dumb but I would hope that its only some kind of growing pain or something. Someone please reply and help me out here. Even right now...I'm sitting here and every now and then a sharp pain will shoot through that area where my prostate is.....is it just me going through adolescence (however you spell it) or could this be something serious?
Thanks.

Don't worry to death- its VERY unlikely that you have prostate cancer. Both prostate and colon cancer are extremely rare at your age.

It's more likely that you have an STD (if you're sexually active), prostatitis (an infected prostate), or epidydimitis (an infection around the testicles). Or, you may not have anything wrong at all. Nonetheless, if your symptoms continue, I'd see a doctor.

I should also say that I'm not an MD, but I'm just reporting what I've read on the subject. Thus you shouldn't take what I say as the last word. Anyone out there with medical traning may wish to correct me.

Thanks for the reply...I guess I shouldn't worry so much but I'll keep an eye out on it and if it keeps going another week or two, I'll get it checked.
