View Full Version : Prostate Cancer Questions

I posted a few days ago about having problems and worrying that I may have prostate, or some kind of rectal or colon cancer. I am only 14 but I am still worried because.......well the following things are embarrassing but I have to tell them to get any kind of answers. Yes I'm young so my hormones are raging and....I think that 99% of the world who are my age masturbate so anyways...when I ejactulate, sometimes it hurts...in the area where my prostate should be. I don't know if this is normal (could it be from masturbating a lot? wow thats embarrassing) It seems to be kind of sore there where my prostate should be and sometimes it hurts when I ejaculate. Also my left testicle hurts sometimes...even when I walk sometimes, it feels like someone is pulling on it...its like the pain of someone pulling on it (hard pulling) but there is no feeling of it being pulled...like something has been...well...torn inside? But not as painful as if that really happened. Sometimes I'll be sitting and sharp pains will shoot through the area in my rectum/anus or whatever (so embarrassing, sorry to be so graffic) around the prostate area..its not always just where the prostate is...its like theres an area surrounding my prostate that gets sore. I read on the board from someone elses post that if I was having problems in...there....(rectum or whatever) that I should drink lots of water and cut back on some of the junkfoods (chips, etc) and all. I haven't tried that but I almost feel drained of trying anything...I have some sort of feeling that I'm just going to die or something...its not really a fear, its an actual feeling and its scary. I'm scared to go to the doctor...I don't want them touching me and putting things IN there...should I wait a few days/weeks to see what happens or what? Eat more healthily and drink lots of water, etc?
A basic summery is...My left testicle hurts sometimes (my right does too, but not as often as the left) It sometimes hurts in my anal/rectal area when I ejaculate (around the prostate area) and sometimes sharp pains shoot through that area and they are pretty painful sometimes...they're not THAT bad but they're enough to make me worry. This has been going on for I'd say...2 or 3 months now. Maybe less, maybe more...but around that amount. Also...sometimes my testicles...the skin gets dry and raw and it itches some but when I um...scratch it...it feels raw and sore and its red and raw looking. Someone PLEASE help me out...I'm 14 with a great life and have alot to look forward to and I really need some advice...are these things normal? Does anyone know where I could find out more about these things? Should I go to the doctor?
Thanks for any replies, anything and everything will be VERY appreciated. Thanks and God bless everyone.

I have to post to this as I have had this type of pain since I was your age. I am now 61. There is a muscle in this area that can cause some pain when overworked or pushed hard. It is no big deal at all. Don't even worry about it. I have experienced it a various time of my life particularly on my honeymoon. Sometime the testicals will hurt also. You may even outgrown it but I never have. Had it this week as it was my anniversy

Thanks for the reply and God bless you. I kept seeing where like 30 people or so had read this, but never replied, and I wondered if maybe they just didn't know what to tell me, or maybe they just didn't care to reply...but thanks and God bless (by the way, no offence to those who do not reply, because I have no evidence at all as of why, I was just stating how I felt/feel at certain times/points or whatever.) Thanks alot and your reply is VERY appreciated.

I have no answers for your quesition but I do have one suggestion.

You can contact your local county health department for any of those kind of questions. they will also advise you on testing for any kind of s.t.d's as well as birth control issues and anything else that you would like to ask. You may go for an appointment even if you chose not to let your parents know.

Your school nursing clinic would have the phone number.

Hi ananamousguy14

The first thing I want to say is that you sound like a grown man - not a 14 yr old boy - maybe that is why some have not answered you - as most men dont know where their prostates are. Second of all - dont worry about how much you masterbate - that is SO NORMAL - not just for boys but girls too.
Also, you can have a blood test called a PSA that will tell you if your prostate is enlarged. What it does is measures the size of your prostate. It should read from a 0 to maybe a 1. If your blood work showed a large number they then they could do a rectal exam. It doesnt hurt that much - just feels like pressure and if you relax it wont hurt that much. You need to tell your mother that you have been having pressure and some pain like you said and you dont have to tell her about the masterbation if you dont feel comfortable - but trust me - she knows. Life is too much fun to let yourself worry about something. You sound very smart so act like it - get it checked. Let me know what happens....Grandma Sam

Radiotherapy for P cancer?
Mu husband is 44 gleason 3+3=7 psa 2.6 stage 2a maybe b . Prostate only on left side.
We are considering getting his treatment done at Radiolology clinics of Georgia. They give seed implants and the external beam simultaneously and assure a 0% incontinance . A 95% total cure from cancer.
Anyone knows who elase does this same simultaneous procedure in the Texas area? They say is better than suegery/ Thanks
