Can some one tell me if there is a conection between having a mother with breast cancer and a father with prostrate cancer. there seems to be quit a lot of mentioning of breast cancer in this forum.
This is the position i myself in. I mentioned it to my doctor with being 46 years My only problem being what i consider to be very thick and lumpy sperm and 2-3 urines through the night,My Doc recons it's nothing to worry about. But i'm a little unsure. Did any sufferes notice any change in their sperm.
Thanks in advance.
And good luck to all the sufferes out there

My husband is the "Young cancer patient" Leo. He turned 41 in feb and was diagnosed with prostate cancer in april.

His father has prostate cancer and his mother has breast cancer.

this was the one and only reason that the doctor demanded a full check up with the urologist and a base ultrasound of the prostate. The cancer was found at that time. If we had waited until the "normal" age of 50 there would have been no hope at all.

He wen through H.Lee Moffett cancer center in Tampa florida and the doctor stated that they are seeing younger patients because the ones with FAMILY HISTORY are getting checked much younger.

Prostate cancer is genitic if your father has it you have a much higher risk. And we found out that if your mom has breatcancer it will raise the risk even higher.

My advise is to get another doctor. the doctor my husband had was insistant because of the family history and saved his life.
