I am a 53 year old male who was diagnosed with PCa over four years ago. My Gleason was 6 and PSA was 7.9. After completing all the necessary tests and determing that the cancer was still encapsulated, Iopted for radio-active seed implant. This decision was made after extenstive discussions with my urologist and radiologist, involving both my wife and me. At last check, my PSA was <.1. I would like to hear from anyone that has had seed implant and if you have had the same success I have had. Thanks.

My husband was just diagnosed with PCa...PSA of 6.9 and a gleason of 8. We are thinking about doing the seeds. We were a little concerned with the 8. He is going in for further tests, bone scan and a CT scan of his pelvis to see if it has affected the lymph nodes. He is 51. Urologist strongly recommends surgery, but we will wait until after the tests. If it has not spread, we will do the seeds vs. surgery. Anyone else with a gleason of 8 who has done the seeds?
