Have you checked out the CFS Fdn. home page? There you will find a list of symptoms necessary to receive the diagnosis of CFS. If you don't fit the profile I would research elsewhere as well. The beginning stages are very specific. Off the top, your symptoms sound more like you might have an arthritic factor. Have you seen a rheumatologist? Checked out the Lupus board? Usually with CFS you wouldn't tend to lose weight.

I'm afraid I can't be of much help, only that I have extremely similar symptoms to the ones you describe (and was diagnosed with CFS). So you're not alone!

the unreal or disconnected feeling could be depersonalisation which is connected with anxiety, look it up on the net

do you snore or toss and turn in your sleep? if so you may have a sleep disorder such as sleep apnea, which of course causes fatigue and is often sadly overlooked by docs

Kiya,

Those symptoms sound EXACTLY like mine...even the eyelid droop. How weird. I have hypothyroidism, but I have also been told I have CFS although I'm not really being treated for CFS just the hypothyroidism but still feel like crap.

Have you had any blood tests done?

Hi ! hry, (Hope you don't mind me jumping in here....,)

WOW ! You just said it ALL !..............,

You said, ' do you snore ' , ...............?, I say, ' Yep, I DO ! '
You said, ' do you toss and turn in your sleep ? ' ..........?, I say,
' Yep, I DO ! '

You say, ' if so, you may have a sleep disorder such as sleep apnea ',
I say, ' Yep, you're RIGHT ',

which of course causes, ' fatigue ', I say, ' Yep, it does '.........,

You say, ' and is often sadly overlooked by Docs.', I say,
' Yep, you've surely got that RIGHT, and it is surely sad ' !

I say, " YOU ARE SO RIGHT ! "

My story is that I am Bipolar, and I have to take a lot of meds.,
and I also, my sleeping problems are so bad.
Recently, my Hubby and I did not realize how serious this snoring/sleep,
problems could be a serious thing.

Months ago, I was diagnosed with ' Chronic Epstein Barr Virus ', and
of course CFS goes along with it...,
After talking with my BP Doctor, and He seemed to think this was serious !
So, he made me an appointment with a sleep Doctor Specialist, and I
went this week for my consultation.
The Doc seems to think I may have sleep apnea !
And, I will be going for my sleep study soon.

If you have any information you think could help me, please pass it on.

I have read on this message board about folks who are Bipolar, have
sleeping problems.

I did a post on ' Sleep Disorders ', and feel free to read it, if you would like. I'm trying to get my thoughts together, to do a Post on ' Bipolar illness ',
about sleep disorders, hoping to help someone else.
What do you think ?

Waiting to hear from you,

Take Care,

Gee Gee

yea, that is CFIDS... No Drugs will help.. Try taking Vitamin C 1000 mg, Lysine, Lots of Garlic and boost ur immune system..

Do you have CMV or HHV 6 tested ?? Most CFIDS are cause by those virus.

Unless at onset you had very severe symptoms, which included a fluey feeling and lasted 6 to 9 months without let up, I would say you do not fit into the accepted diagnostic standard for CFS. Visit the CFS Foundation home page for definitive information and a list of symptoms necessary to receive the diagnosis.
