Hello all, a few question for you, they may sound very stupid, but hopefully you'll all help regardless:

a) Can you have normal blood pressure (mine was taken yesterday at 120/70), but still have blocked ateries. Just a general question there thats all.

b) Is excessive burping at the beginning of exercise, a sign of heart problems, or can it be generally unrelated?

Thanks all

Sammy

Sammy yes you can have normal blood pressure with heart blockage. Mine was mostly normal at 100/70 but on a few occasions when I was having symptoms mine went up as far as 145/90. It's not a stupid question.
As for the burping I don't think that's heart related but I have heard some people say they had abdominal pain with heart blockage. Exercise probably effects the internal organs as much as the outside of the body. It may be that it's causing the stomach and bowels to speed up their processes. The burping may also be related to GERD. Do you have alot of heartburn?

Hiya Sammy,

Just my personal input on these questions, not in a medically diagnostic way.

My blood pressure was never a problem as far as I knew. Having said that I had a massive heart attack and that was followed about 5 months later by a smaller one. 6 weeks after that I had a triple bypass - only one of my arteries were working 20%.

Any upper body physical exercise might bring on burping. Taking air in and out as you work out. Any type of gastric problem may cause this.

I would seriously recommend though that you see you GP about your worries. What is true for one might not be true for another. You cannot afford to wait around if you suspect anything like this at all.

Hope you are ok at the moment.
