Hi everyone, I've been doing alot of research to find out if my boyfriend has anything serious to worry about. And I was wondering if anyone knows anything about Atypical moles.. Now I know that they are different but do they change in color and form, like cancers ones as well. I know its normal to have atypical moles. My boyfriend has them but I've noticed one of them that is changing in color.. The whole mole used to be one dark color now its spilt half and half dark and light. Is that bad? Or do atypical moles do that?

Hi, I had skin cancer on my face about 1 1/2 yrs ago. The cancer wasn't the typical looking cancer. If any questions on anything at all, you should be seen by a plastic surgeon who can biopsy the site. I had mine checked five years prior to my surgery by a family Dr. who said it was a open pore and not to worry about it. Well needless to say it was pretty bad, so don't wait, or ignore it. Good luck

You should make sue he goes to a dermatologist.

When they CHANGE COLOR and split they could be melanoma.

I don't mean to scare you but I have had two melanomas
and one was irregular border with black and brown coloring. The other one didn't fit the melanoma mold,it was a little bigger than a pin head and black
with a lump under it.

Better to be safe than sorry...

You didn't say where the mole is??? Men tend to get
melanoma on their backs and women on their legs.

It is very curable if detected early....

You need to see a good plastic surgeon and let him remove it and send it to the lab. My daughter was 15 had a mole on her shoulder that was melanoma. It didn't look like a regular mole, was light in color. Don't wait early detection will save your life.
