A couple days ago (about 6 days ago), I noticed these little bumps on my arm. I didn't mind what it was since I thought it was minor. Next day I know, it seems like something was actually going to result out of this. It had gotten more red (the bumps), so I got nervous and put some Neosporin on it and a band-aid. Next day, it's huge! It looked abnormal. I showed it to my parents and my mom claims that she just had that same thing 10 days ago (could it be contagious?). Luckily for her it disappeared. I'm looking at it right now and it looks literally like a circle with a red outline of it.
I'm thinking it could be poison ivy as it slightly looks like it (never had this before). That could explain the reason why my mom had it in the first place. I've been putting some Cortizone on it and it looks like it's been helping a bit. Just wondering what this is and if anyone had a similar experience.

Sounds like ringworm... and yes, it is contagious. If it is ringworm, it won't go away with Neosporin, but an antifungal cream and antibiotics. Ringworm is characterized by the circle shape, the raised red bumps, and it itches. It can spread to other parts of your body, so the quicker you get it under control, the better. Look online under "photos of ringworm" to see if it looks like what you have.

Or maybe eczema? I had a patch on my arm it wasnt contagious though and cortizone is working for me. I wish i caught it before it spread with bumps that looked like bug bites.
Also ringworm can be sprayed with tough actin tinactin! I had to use that before too.

BigMomma24, thanks a lot for your help. I think I have ringworm as it does match some pictures.
Piranna65, I've been applying the tough actin tinactin spray on the ringworm. It seems like it's working well as the "raised" edges have been getting almost to flat. I have a question though. How many times a day did you apply the tinactin (I hear 2x should be a max) and how long did it take for you to get rid of the ringworm with the tinactin? Thanks a bunch.

bump
Update: The ringworm (still haven't 100% classified it, but this is the closest match to my visual eye) has severely faded. Problem is that it is still there. I haven't applied Tinactin since then as I thought the effectiveness was running out so I've been applying antifungal cream Clotrimazole (spelling?). I'm still wondering after all the Tinactin treatments, was this an actual case of ringworm?
If so, how long does it take to completely get rid of the ringworm still?
