You need a regular medication regimen. You need to get control of your asthma. Don't ever hold in a cough. The coughing is automatic to help get rid of what is in your body that needs to come out. Your lungs are trying to clear itself. Hope you feel better. Kmama4 03-23-2005, 09:34 AM Honey, I am getting really concerned about your posts. I can't understand why a child your age should have to turn to a board on the internet with posts like that while your parents don't do something. Obviously if you are feeling like this, your asthma is not under control at all. I can't stress enough to MAKE SOMEONE LISTEN TO YOU! I don't care if you have to go to the school nurse to do it, but if your parents are not taking this seriously, or if they think they have done all they can then something needs to be done. I find your posts here so worrisome. They all seem so desperate and I have a daughter your age. I can't imagine her having to post such things here because nothing is being done. Your parents should be directed here, do they use the internet much? If they do, they really should see what you have posted and how you have been suffering. MAybe someone here can give them some suggestions. Jiloa 03-23-2005, 01:04 PM Hi :) I completely agree that you need help *now,* and I hope you do. My asthma has gotten a lot worse over the last several months. I had a relentless cough. Using a steam humidifier helps. I have to have one at my desk at work, and sometimes while I sleep. I also have to use a neublizer machine during the day to keep my breathing intact. Bottom line for you tho, is that you must get help immediately. Please keep us posted. regionals18 03-23-2005, 03:23 PM my parents r doing all they can im going to my specialist tomorrow for my breathing test im on advair thx for responding they know how much i suffer i can tell i just wish that the dr. would help more regionals18 03-25-2005, 10:59 PM heres an update, i had my breathing test and it shows i have asthma my dr. says im wheezing really bad and that i need to stay on advair i also have a virus which is adding to my wheezing and asthma. he put me on prednisone again haaa. and the z-pack eww again. so yeah i'll see him 2 weeks there not sure if this is going to help. |
