I am the same way so I know how you feel - it stinks. Have you tried using a decongestant? Like Claritin - D or equivilant. Taking a decongestant helps me, I just don't like how they make me feel, so I don't take them all of the time like I should. I do flush out my sinuses with a neti pot and that can help only if I do it when I am not all clogged up - then I can't get the water in. I wish there were some better options out there. :)

I use to be the same way and Flonase and Zyrtec D are working great for me. I went to the allergy doctor last Nov. and he put me on these. I am feeling really good. We had a lot of illness go through where I live the past couple of months and I did not catch anything. Things are blooming here right now and nothing is bothering me. As a matter of fact I have some flowers on my counter right now that have been there for almost a week now and they are not bothering me one bit. The girls in the office could not handle them and that's why they are on my counter. It did take awhile for both of these meds to kick in and start working for me. At first I was not sure if they were going to work but I just kept taking them and now they are working great for me. I think that sometimes you just have to be patient and give new meds time to start working for you. Good Luck.

You need to watch out with some of those congestants. Long term effects can be pretty bad. Along with the pretty common dizzy, drugged complaints, there has also been a number of studies which show that they can disrupupt REM sleep, aggrivate headaches and just throw your body out of wack. My allergist is very, very against decongestants- he will not precribe them no matter how congested patients are. But I totally understand that when you feel like your head is packed full, your willing to risk pretty much anything to stop feeling that way, reagardless of what some study may show. If you can avoid them though, I would.

Wow maybe this doesn't all sound that bright but I never thought decongestants were that bad. I knew they can make your problem worse but I did not think they were quite that bad. Thank you for sharing that information.

are you using the Flonase consistantly? My doctor told me most people misuse Flonase and other steroid nasal sprays. They are meant to be preventative not for treatment. So if you stop using it when you feel good, you will not get the benefits.
