I'm new to this board. My mom has congestive heart failure and dialated cardiomyopathy. She started out having atrial fib., and years later, developed CHF and DCM. It's always good to know that you're not alone when a parent isn't well. Since she doesn't have a computer, I relate can different information about others who have the same disease and how they cope with it.

I've had the same disease for many years, and got my heart failure by failing to get a tachycardia under control for seven months.

For me, my two most important goals were to lower my blood pressure, and to get my heart beating as normally as possible. I wanted the least amount of strain on my heart so that it would have a chance to recover, and at least, keep the heart failure from getting worse. So far, I am happy with the results.

My mom also has CHF and had stents put into her heart which collapsed and she doesnt want to get hem out due to her being very high risk diabetic. doc say only thing they can do is a triple bypass which will not get, it stress me out as she was over 100+ pds over weight

i pray for her constantly as she is only 48 yrs old me being 21 and having lost her son my bro 9 yrs ago
