I had my wisdom teeth removed 3 weeks ago. Yesterday, due to a horrible dentist day, some of the plastic from an impression got in my gums and I had to go to my OS and have him remove it. So, he had to open my insicion up and dig around and re-stitch it.
Basically, I have to treat it as I did when I first had my wisdom teeth removed. My question is:
Can I eat since otherwise I feel normal other than that side or was that part of the initial instructions?
I can remember the no smoking, no spitting, no straw, etc. but will eating regulary disturb the area or cause dry socket? I am going to salt water rinse this evening.
Also, does the rule of cold then hot still apply.
Thanks,
tracy

Yup, you are right on all of your treatment plans! And go ahead and eat normally. You should be fine. Just make sure to rinse afterward!
