i read some where that herpes shouldnt leave scars, well my the blisters on my penis scabbed over and now i have bright pink scars where the scabs was. any one else had this?

how long ago did you have a scab? cause dude. when i was younger i would get scabs on my elbows from falling down and stuff. and the skin would be pink for like a week before it started looking normal again.. so yeah i guess you can get scars.

If the scabs have only just healed, the skin probably will look pinker or redder than normal. It should go back to how it was in a couple of weeks. Herpes does not usually scar, it sometimes does where people have picked a sore and damaged the skin further, or the sore has become infected etc.

my son had some horrific lesions, but no scars. all turned pink and the one's on his scalp left bald patches (the last of which is FINALLY growing hair ;) ) but not one scar. I agree with beaker, it should heal and look normal pretty quickly.
