Thank You To Everyone Who Responded To My Percocet Questions Yesterday It Was A Big Big Help!! I See My Doc Today And Will Suggest Some Advice That I Recieved From You All. My Next Question Is ; Is There A Difference Between Generic & Brand Name When Getting Pain Pills? As Far As The Potency? Say For Instance Percocet?? Or Vicodin?? Thank You Chad.

Hi Chad...To give you a rather quick answer to your question concerning brand and generic meds, it depends on the medication. On the two you mentioned, I always get generic Hydrcodone and Percoset. I am currently on Methadone now and I am on a generic, but there is one generic out there called Methadose that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. The one I ask for and get every month is made by Roxanne. You just have to be careful. The Percoset made by Endo is what I always have gotten in the past. In Hydro, usually it's made by Watson. The monetary difference between brand and generic can be huge, so generally I get the generic, if it's one that's good. The pharmacy people would be much more able to tell you if it's a decent generic than the doctor. Docs really don't know that much about pharmacology. Good luck.
