apriltones 03-23-2005, 06:38 PM what actually is a flare? is a flare common with fibro? i am tired lately as have young son who wakes in night. my legs ahve been twitching more, hands are hurting alot, aches? thanks, april x Sponsor hdnighttrain 03-24-2005, 02:55 PM Dear April, I too dont know what constitutes a "flare" because if how I feel indicates one then I have been in it for a year with no letting up. Hope that makes you feel better, if you have any easing up of symptoms take it and be soooo happy. I would give my arm for a day of normalcy. Just a day or even half a day!!! I can say some days aren't as drastic but there is always a low level of this feeling in me that I cant describe. Oh well, que sera sera. Take care, Kim kbak 03-24-2005, 09:07 PM April, I've always understood a flare to be when your symptoms are worse for an extended period of time. You really notice that your worse. apriltones 03-25-2005, 12:35 PM i have been lately. what can trigger it? thanks. love april x kbak 03-25-2005, 01:26 PM April, Boy, lots of things can trigger a flare. A period of stress, or illness. At times it seems that they just roll around on their own. Getting overtired can put you down. They tell ya that you should try to live on an even keel. Don't get to tired, don't overexert yourself. Pace yourself. Get enough rest. If you don't have a job and no kids, those things are possible. But if you have a job and kids, good luck meeting those guidelines!! Fibro is not for the faint of heart. It's a challenge. Take Care! apriltones 03-25-2005, 03:52 PM thanks for that!!! i had a stomach bug few weeks ago and have been tired. maybe that triggered it, i have a young son and a job and college, love april xx girl75 03-25-2005, 07:39 PM you know about 2wks ago my 2yr old had fever and so i carried her alot and also had to sleep in her room on the floor, well after that i hurt so bad and it just did not get better. i new it had flared up because what i had went thru but it has not seem to get any better so i was stuck with it. now when i attempt to clean or do anything physical it gets even worse so it seems like i am having a flare from a flare. crazy huh?? robin apriltones 03-26-2005, 01:23 PM hi robin, have you just one child? do you have tweenies, teletubbies, balamory in america? they are english programmes for our tots. they are really good! love april xx girl75 03-26-2005, 04:29 PM oh my gosh april, we use to have tweenies and they stopped showing it and my kids were not happy with that. my 2yr old loves teletubies very much. she watches it everyday and also has videos she likes to watch sometimes before she goes to bed. how about wiggles. do you have that over there? its australian i believe. anyway they love that. i have all those songs in my head all day and night, its crazy. lol  girl my back has gotten so bad and i am so happy to meet people in the same situation that i am in. you know other people just do not understand how it feels to hurt all the time. they are like "you should try this, you should try that" been there done that i tell them. they act like i like to feel this way and taking all the meds i take all the time. anyway sorry just felt like venting. well hope to hear from you soon. robin :D apriltones 03-26-2005, 07:12 PM didnt know they showed them in usa. thats amazing. no, we dont have wriggles. i know the feeling, when your tired and aching people think its the usual tired feelng. i feel like im going on but its a pain you cant describe. its frustrating isnt it. love april x how old are you again? 24? girl75 03-26-2005, 10:50 PM i wish i was 24 again, i am 29 going on 30. 24 is when i first got pregnant with my 5yr old. sometimes i can't believe that i am going to be 30, its like i am in denial or something.lol. i still try and be a cool mom. me and my 5yr old like to rock out together. i just got him listening to Oasis. i love them. right now i am feeling terrible and was trying to take a nap. my kids tried everything they could do to wake me, running in and out of the room and jumping on the bed. i was like i don't feel good and i just finally woke up now my body hurts so i came to my computer to get away for awhile. tomorrow is Easter and i had to go to the store to get some things for them and then to the grocery. that was enough to put me out for the rest of the day. Happy Easter robin apriltones 03-27-2005, 11:20 AM hi robin. hope your easter is going ok. what do you do for easter in usa? do you have chocolate eggs too? 29 is not ols, not that much older than me. i think since i have had jack i feel older. love april x girl75 03-27-2005, 03:24 PM hey april, we color eggs with food coloring, and last night i hid thier baskets and they found them this morning. usually people fill up the baskets with lots of candy but i only get them a couple and try and find some small toys for them. of course i have to get them both the same thing but in diff colors so they won't fight. they still think it is from the easter bunny. at my sons school they had an easter egg hunt which was pretty cool. oh the coolest thing that mexican people do (thats what i am mexican-american)we make cascarones which is spanish for confetti eggs. you crack a small whole on the top of the egg and take the inside out, then you rinse it out. after you have a good amount you color them with food coloring and after they dry fill them up with confetti, or if you want to trick someone put flour, anyway put a little glue around the whole and put a piece of tissue paper and viola you have a cascarone. it is so much fun when you are with a bunch of family members and everyone is cracking them on each others head, especially with the flour ones. we also like to bar-b-que. this year though we are being anti-social and staying home watching movies and hanging out. thats the way i like it. give your little Jack a hug. my kids names are Zackery and Zoe happy easter robin apriltones 03-28-2005, 04:54 PM hi robi, sound fun and interesting. i will probably do that when jack is a little older. i love your kids names, give them a hug from me too1 glad i found you, wwe seem to have clicked. love april x girl75 03-28-2005, 05:57 PM oh i know you seem cool to. my daughter had just threw dirt in my sons eyes a little while ago. man the drama. both of them were crying and i had to rush zack who is the older one to wash out his eyes and then make zoe get up to put her in time out. she was throwing herself on the floor and did not want to walk so i had to pick her up. that was very painful for my back. crazy huh? lol. this is a typical day . thought i would make you laugh real quick :D robin apriltones 03-29-2005, 04:46 PM kids eh! what they like! jack had too much choc yesterday and was playing up. i have been in pain alot, little shooting pains and aches. love april x girl75 03-30-2005, 02:58 PM its so hard when you are hurting so bad and you have a small one to look after. i am so sorry that you are still experiencing those shooting pains. is there anything that you do that relieves it? gone to a doctor? when i went in for my last visit i mentioned to the nurse practioner that i have numbness in my rt hand when i wake up and that thoughout the day it hurts. well then she wanted me to go and have test done for carpul tunnel. i thought omg another test. i wasn't able to go anyway, i do not have a sitter for zoe. i attempted to clean house a bit yesterday and after a couple of hours taking it slow i thought i was going to die. my hip went out and my back went into spasms. MY HOUSE IS A WRECK!!!!!!! lol. of course my husband is too tired to help when he gets home. anyway enough of that. I read your post about sexual intersest and i know how you feel. all the pains and headaches really do not put me in the mood. i hope you feel better. robin :) |
