1) I never payed the cable bill until the service was shut off. - unmanageable
2) I couldn't wait to get off of work just to take those pills and have some beer- powerless
Tht's just two of many ways I was powerless over drugs and my life was becoming unmanageagble. Now I have a list of things relating to my powerlessness and unmanageability to keep in a draw for those days when my disease tells me, "Mikey boy, you're not that bad, you can handle one drink!" :nono:
Was thinking we can do something similar here...just post an instance of how you were or are powerless over drugs/alcohol , and how your life became unmanageble. It's a great excercize. It can be put down and read later down the road when you may feel complacent.
Amazing how memories come rushing to me with a clear mind on the things I have done over the years that I never attrributed to drug use. Have had some startling and profound insights this week that I am working on with my first step.
Have a great day everyone.
Mike
