My orthapedic surgeon prescribed this for me today to help me sleep at night along with my pain medicine - anyone on this and does it work for ya?

Doxepin is generic for Sinequan, an older AD in the tricyclic group. Like Elevil.
It CAN cause you to gain weight like crazy. Just like Elevil. I have used both for sleep and much prefer other choices but that is just me. May as well try it for a couple of days...for sleep it only takes a few days to see if it is gonna work...for an AD it can take way up to 8 weeks to have ANY effect.

i tried elavil before, didn't like it at all. have any of you tried trazodone? that is what i take-its a good one for sleep. :) LadyB.
