Hello, I am curious how long does it take before side effects (if any) occur? I just started to take Zoloft and I am wondering when and how long the side effects would last. I am on Spring Break now but go back to school Monday and I am hoping I wont have any bad side effects next week. Let me know..thanks!

Well side effects happen usually right when you start taking the new med. Most likely if you were going to experience anything "odd" you would notice it by now. Remember its common with most ssri's to feel a little dizzy, sleepy or tired when you first begin taking them. How have you been doing? Have you noticed any side effects?

I took the medication around 10:30 this morning....25 mg of Zoloft. So far I havent noticed anything too unusual..I am just so afraid of experiencing side effects...I am afraid I will start to feel it tomorrow or something...I know I am supposed to take 25 mg for 2 weeks then up to 50 mg after that..let me know what u think...thanks!
