I have pretty thick hair too, and what i usually do is, when I get out of the shower I put a leave in conditioner in it (some kind of anti frizz thing - I'm not picky about brands, although I like Kiwi blow syrum if I can get it). Then take a brush and run it throught your hair while blow drying it and a low, cool setting. You can try getting a flat iron (but make sure you have a real nice conditioner to protect ur hair if you plan to use it regularly) And there always is the option of getting layers or bangs to thin it out some. I'm thinking of doing that myself... I also knew a girl who used to put a bouce sheet inside her brush - I've never tried this myself tho. Good luck! 04REXSTi 03-26-2005, 03:03 PM thanks for the reply, i should have probably specified that i was a guy, but its ok. lol BoingoBongo 03-31-2005, 07:58 PM I also have extremely thick hair. I don't mind it because I just don't want to go bald, so thick hair is fine. When you get it cut, you can just have the barber thin out your hair. That works great for me, otherwise my hair could support a beach umbrella. 04REXSTi 04-01-2005, 03:43 AM the thing is, no matter how much they thin it, it will still poof out. the only way i can prevent that is by not getting my hair wet, or cutting it really really short, like buzz cut. :( Njoylife 04-02-2005, 05:14 PM Make sure your shampoo/conditioner isn't for 'volume'. This will make it poof out more. Don't dry your hair completely with a blow dryer, makes it fuller. |
