hi -
My mom recently fell and broke her arm... because of the way the bone broke she will have to go in for surgery on Monday. She told me that the doctor said he wouldn't be using any pins, but he would be using sutures instead.

I've been asked by my mom to do a search for her to find out about the surgery (especially about the sutures) and I've found a bunch of stuff, but I thought I would post something here and see if anyone could share any other helpful information about this type of surgery.

Thanks,
Cori

Did she tear the glenoid labrum? If this is the case, she may have a bankart or SLAP lesion. Other than these, I'm not familiar with using sutures for a humerus fracture.
