i have this girl as a friend that i am kinda of worried about she is like a sister to me and her habits over the last couple of months to a year are concerning me...what should i do

does she have a problem or not ???
her husband left her and her kid and then after that she become depressed and then became a hermit. didnt go no where would just talk on the phone.
before her kid was born we were wild and crazy partied to the morning cocaine, weed, anything u could stick up u noise drinks ohh drink and clubs and sex.............. what fun

so she grew up and became responsible had her kid raised him very well never did anything anymore which also did i . then about after a year she has started slowing going out she dont give a **** she get in to fights sometimes only if started and the funny thing about it is she know how to fight she ends up beating the crap out of them ... but here we are with violene which she never had. then now she slowed down on the clubs and she is back to smoking weed she says it calms her nerves down every week she say s no more then she is calling me up saying we got to get some. then i call her and she is drinking by herself not socially anymore ........... i think in some way she is trying to be munb to her problems but i dont know

im just a concerned friend and need advice

Hi blue-eyes-
Do you go to her house-and spend time w/ her-?
Did you say-she is hitting her boyfriend?Sorry-it was a little unclear.
She sounds like she is very depressed-would she consider seeing a therapist?
It seems like she is trying to numb-as you put it-her sadness.
I would be honest w/ her-about your concerns-hold her hand-she needs help/if she is willing to see someone-call your local hospital-ask about outpatient services for mental health-there are all kinds of programs available including free care for uninsured patients.Drive her over-cos she probably won't do it herself-seriously-if shes in hermit mode-shes gonna really need the motivation.
This will start the ball rolling-and where she is a mother-her child is dependent on mom being healthy-its seems like alot-but once shes getting the help she needs-your friend will be in a better place.
good luck-and lets me know if that seems doable..
