Hi there. We are awaiting an appointment with a pediatric hematologist from Stanford. We've been playing phone tag and I am anxious to know what anyone thinks about my daughter's panels.

December, 2004 (during a bladder infection)

WBC 22.2
RBC 3.65
HGB 10.9
HCT 31.1
MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW - in normal range
PLTS 469
MPV 7.1
SEGS 82
BANDS - normal
LYMPHS 8
MONOS, EOS, BASOS - in normal range

January 2005

WBC RBC HGB - Normal
HCT 32.9
MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW - in normal range
PLTS 770
MPV 7.0
SEGS 25
BANDS normal
LYMPHS 69
MONOS, EOS, BASOS - in normal range

March 2005 - at this point my physician recommended Ped. Hema.

All within normal values (HCT is borderline @ 34) with the exception of:

PLTS 384
SEGS 28
LYMPHS 64

So is the next logical step a bone marrow aspiration? Should I rule out Leuk. because her platelets have been so high? Thanks for help in advance. I am trying to be proactive and logical about this but it is very difficult. My daughter also has Marcus Gunn Jaw Winking Syndrome.

Jennifer
