I have been having night sweats - my chest and breasts are wet - but I am not sure if they are related to peri or somethign way more serious? Can someone explain what they are like if they are related to peri?? Are they drenching where you need to change your clothes, etc

Yes, very common in peri. But they vary from person to person. Some of my friends have had them where everything gets drenched - get up and change nightclothes and bed linen. I've had the ones more like you, my chest and back of my neck get wet, but don't really need to change everything. Then of course you're all sweaty and after it passes you get chills! Fun!

Mine is where I just feel moist behind my neck and slight dampness near my neck/chest area. I usually only notice because I feel warm (we just got wool top-mattress bedding so even DH complains he is wa-a-a-y too warm) and when I get up to go to the bathroom (I haaaaaaaaaaaate that part), I feel my neck and it is moist.
I'm only 47, going to be 48 in May so maybe this will get worse or maybe this is just how it will be for me.
You didn't say how old you were.
My night-sweats started when I was in my mid-30's. Then about age of 36, all of it totally stopped. Then last year (46) it started about 2 or 3 times/year. This year, I've noticed it about every other month....

This post answers a lot of questions I have been having. I, too, have the night sweats, but at first thought it was due to what I was wearing, and the sheets and quilt. It is not very frequent, though, seems maybe once a week or less.
However, in the last few weeks (I'm 44 BTW) I will be in a store and all of a sudden feel like I'm inside a HEATER. You know when you get really embarrassed and your entire body feels hot all over? That is how I feel. Sound familiar?

Mine are just mild. I just wake up and feel like there are too many covers on the bed and peel some back. I am just "too warm." But I am known to not sweating. I can ride 60 miles in 90 degree heat on my bike and people ask me "Don't you ever sweat???" People are so different!

I have been waking up several times a night with night sweats and it is so bad. I get so hot that I have to throw the covers off and throw cold water on my face. I sweat from my chest up, mostly my chest and neck. I get burning pain in my chest that goes away after the hot flash (night sweat) is over. Does anyone else get the burning in your chest with it? I mentioned it to the dr. because I was afraid it was my heart and she said it could come with the night sweats. I have not heard of anyone else having that symptom though.
My Dr. told me today to try Black Cohash. Has anyone else tried it?
If you are like me with these night sweats, it leaves you so tired the next day from not sleeping right. I have major fatigue anyway from other health issues so this adds to it.
