I would have thought someone was nuts before, but now having been dx'ed with fibro and have read as much i can find, i realize anything can happen. When the moon is full each month i've noticed the pains become more unbearable. I have all over pain, but my arms and hands and leggs seem to have the worst weakness with the pain. Does anyone else experience this? I usally get a migraine before the full moon also. My heart goes out to all. I just wish those who don't have fibro were more understanding. We go through enough pain..God Bless you all... nanax4

Hello,

Funny you should post this. I have noticed that the full moon not only makes me extremely anxious, but that yes, the pain is worse, and yes, I almost inevitably get a migraine.
I'm also extremely sensitive to changes in the weather? Is this true for you, too?

Peace and healing to us all

The weather seems to have an effect on how i feel too. I'm sorry you too have fibro, but i'm glad that i'm not alone in noticing this too. I started out last year with a ten day migraine and havn't been the same since. i've had a lot of nuerogical (msp) symptoms , vertigo, went paralized with a horrible buzzing all over that lasted around a minute, numbing, insommia, weakness, horrid tiredness, headaches that last 24 to 72 hours, weight gain, pain behind my right eye that gets severe at times and many more symptoms. When i started reading this board, my heart went out to you all, but i realized i'm not alone. I'm glad people share, even if it seems non important . I've learned so much from you all...God Bless...Nanax4

Hi Nanax4,

What tests have you had done? Its possible that even though you have fibro you could also have some other neurogical problem. Sounds like you got alot going on.

I dont know if the Drs have a explanation for how the full moon effects patients. But its a known fact, just ask the nurses in the maternity wards..

Good luck and keep us posted

hello,

How strange that I am not alone....I too experience an increase of pain with not only a full moon but in the weather changes. I will get bad cases of migrains and i also experience dizzy spells and a just a weakness when it is rainy out, which is all the time. When it is really sunny out and hot I see spots and my skin will tingle and feel like its on fire.

what other symptons do you guys get with the weather changes?? I need to take more notes with the full moon, take more notice i guess.

Since where i live we get alot of rain.... We actually had a couple of weeks of sun everyday and no foul weather. I felt soooo good. still had pain ,but bearable. I also get the dizzy spells and feel like i will pass out and blurried vision .When i'm having a flare, i have a hard time seeing. dizziness seems to be a daily accourance for me. I had an abnormal mri. I'm in the wait and see stages for ms. If i had to choice ....i'd rather have neither! With the migraines i see spots too. I have alot of floaters which looks like hair nets over my eyes, but i'll see stars sparkling at time, not with every headache or migraine. I found that trazadone helps with the headaches (if taken on a regular basis) and also for sleep. i don't like taking meds so i take little as possible... which meds need to be taken as directed by your doctor. nuerotin helped , but it wasn't helping my waist line, i'm in my 40's so it is a little harder for me to lose weight. My doctor gives me 30 vicodin a month. I do alot of suffering, but i don't want to get dependant on meds. I'm thank-ful for what i do get. I also take clonidine for HBP. Not only does it lower MY blood pressure, but as a added bonus , it helped me quit smoking a few years ago. I take a muscle relaxant called norflex. I get jerky and spasmatic muscles and painfull at that and real tight and stiff, does anyone get that too? also tremors, but the meds have been doing their job. I know now how to plan around a full moon. It really does help to keep a log....thanks for listening..God Bless nanax4
