My husband has a strange issue with his hands. When he gets out of the shower, or when he's doing a lot of typing, his palms develop an odd, hard, bumpy texture. He says it hurts. It goes away in a matter of minutes. This has only recently started happening. I know it isn't dry skin because his hands are very soft normally. I'm thinking it might be a hives-type reaction. After looking around on the internet, I found what I think it is--angioedema. Does anybody know anything about this? What could be causing it? Could it be something else?
