Just wondering if anyone has heard of useing ear drops to whiten teeth? The drops are suppossed to have the same whitening material as the kits you can buy. Any thoughts???

My thoughts are just buying the strips or getting the gel from your dentist. I have never heard about using them to whiten teeth, but I am sure the ear drops are basically hydrogen peroxide, but I don't know what else is in them and therefore would be a bit concerned about putting them all over my teeth. Additionally, what you put on your teeth needs to be a weak peroxide solution so that it doesn't damage your gums. I don't know how strong ear drops are, but probably stronger than the gels.

Hi, there was a 37 page post here on the ear drops. After reading them alll :D I tried Debrox and after 1x I saw a difference. My front four teeth are bonded and those stains even lightened after 1x. Today I'm doing it 3x, as I can't keep it on my teeth more than 5 or so minutes. Definatly try it!

Yeah I read all those and just though I might get a different perspective on the dental board. I had some drops at home and I used them and they seemed to lighten slightly after 1 try. I am concerned about harming my gums but if the solution is the same as in the whitening kits must be ok.
