Hi everyone,

I have posted before on Anxiety with burning skin sensations.
I am also wondering if Anxiety can make your immune system a little lower. I am asking because I have just got over a really nasty cold only to catch another one. I just cant seem to shake them off. My energy level has been so low for the last few months. I hate feeling this way as i have 2 children what needs looking after and all i seem to be doing is laying in bed with cold after cold.
Any suggestions would be great..
Thanks

HI YES...Anxiety does affect your immune system. I have noticed the same thing with colds.

burning skin can be caused by high doses of the vitamin niacin or sometimes an allergy to a soap
I dont think anxiety lowers immunity

Wow, that sounds like more like some kind of allergy related problems, sinusitis, or flu, or even viral. Have you discussed anything with your doctor? Maybe you need to be referred to a dermatologist. Also, is there a possibility that you may be suffering from Depression? Honestly I have not ever heard of Anxiety lowering the immune system.

I've never heard of this but I have suffered from anxiety for years.....and also from a low immune system.........I seem to catch everything that comes around, only to catch it again once it's gone.....interesting thought though.....

Anxiety causes stress, stress lowers your immune system. When I had uncontrolled anxiety years ago I was sick with colds all of the time. Now that I have it under control I am rarely sick.
