 Hi, I am 4 weeks post fusion, and after sitting for awhile, I feel sore in the middle of my hips, feels like something (rods maybe) pushing into me. Has anyone felt like this, am I sitting up too much? I feel good most of the time , except when the spasms hit. Valley

valley, I have that hip pain also. The skin on my hips is sore too, I reckon it's from the nerve stuff from surgery. Feels like weight bearing down heavy on hips.

Valley, I did get that same feeling when I would sit for a while. I got one of those pillows (shaped like a donut) and sat on it when I was going to be sitting for any period of time and it seemed to help some. Do mention this to your doctor though. I never did and probably should have. My doctor suggested to me when I left the hospital that I be up as much as I could because laying around is not good for you after a major surgery. I do not know how much he intended me to be up, but most days I would get up and be up a couple of hours before I would lay back down. I would do that several times a day for the first few weeks. Then I would get up and stay for longer periods everyday. Sad that we are in a situation where sitting can be too much isn't it?... Anyway, do talk to your doctor and ask him/her if your sitting too much.
Good Luck!!! Keep Smiling!!!
