I have a question if anyone has time to read and reply i would really appreciate it. A friend of hte family, James, had this electric chair, well it caught on fire a few months ago and then a few days ago it complety quit working. He has spinabiphida and can't use his legs and at all. Anyway, medicare won't replace or repair the chair, they say. Anyway the part costs 1000.00 and his Mom is trying really really hard to find the money, but until she does, or until someone comes up with a better way to get the chair fixed, he is having to either use this manual chair or stay in bed. Anyway, the question is shortly after he started using this new chair, he got sores all over his legs and his bottom. He never had sores like that before, his Mom thinks the wheelchair is causing them, he has used it before, but never for any length of time. So does anyone have any suggestions as to what he could do to keep that from happening?
